Music is Really Therapy
Thank you to my dear friend Jennifer A Pope, LCSW-C. She's a therapist and also a speaker from the Galentine's Brunch. She did a thing some time ago and created a music workbook journal named Music is My Therapy.🙌🏽🎶 The workbook dives into the hows and whys on our minds process music along with how it effects life around us. Using mine has not only helped me be more mindful on what I add to certain playlist but also when i listen to certain songs there's more purpose in it. It is a must to pick up! Ok so to my point... with processing and listening to music differently, I want to see more concerts and live bands like I use too. 2 weeks ago We (bc I can drag her to all music events 😂) saw Jada Kiss live one day and I saw Ashanti the night before allowing me to do what? Yes you guessed it! Checked another Experience from my self-care edition! . . The edition for Everyone, Self Care or Dating Edition can be used for this. . . I enjoyed each show like I never had before. Certain songs just hit different annnnnnnd I got to spend time with my good judy (good girlfriend for those in the back 🤣) and even ran into a few girlfriends I hadn't seen in a while. Another bonus that may seem small to others but to me was BIG... I causally looked super cute just because. Taking the time to pull out regular fashions felt good. I'm either giving bum chic or high glam 🤚🏽 don't judge me 😅 I realize that I'm finally finding a grey area in life and that things don't have to be just black or white. This feels really good! Are you picking up how this Experience thing works now? 😉 Hopefully you'll grab one of the editions and join me soon. 📚🖤 Until Next Time #penthepositive NinaB
